RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY IN GEELONG

S E R V I C E S

Restorative dentistry is the repair of damaged teeth using current materials such as composite resin (tooth coloured), glass ionomer (also tooth coloured) or amalgam (silver). Damage to teeth can be caused by accidents, decay, grinding or erosion (generally caused by brushing too hard or excessive consumption of soft drink). We use materials which have been shown to have at least 5 years of results before they are adopted as routine materials within the practice.

Inlays / Onlays

This exciting new technique uses digital dentistry to make porcelain fillings in one visit. Porcelain fillings have many advantages over traditional fillings including:

  • Natural aesthetics that mimic a tooth making them blend in
  • Better restoration strength meaning the porcelain will last longer than traditional fillings
  • Allows greater conservation of tooth for maximum tooth life

Inlays / Onlays are also suitable to replace any unsightly amalgam silver fillings that may have decayed, fractured or failed.

At Geelong Dental & Implant Centre we have invested in the latest Cerec technology available to bring you the ultimate comfort and precision dentistry.
