Tooth whitening lightens teeth. Whitening is among the most popular cosmetic dental procedures because it can greatly improve how your teeth look.
Whitening is not a one-time procedure. It will need to be repeated from time to time if you want to maintain a brighter colour.
For best results we recommend in-home whitening. This involves taking impressions of your upper and lower teeth to make custom bleach trays to fit you. The bleach trays are a 'snug' fit to ensure whitening agent remain in contact with your teeth.
At home, you will fill each bleach tray with Natural+ whitening gel. You can then wear the bleach trays for 1 hour a day for the next 10-12 days at a time that suits you. Many people achieve the result they want within a week or two.
6 months to a year later a 1-2 day 'top up' may be required to keep your teeth at the desired colour.
You may find that if you smoke, drink black tea or eat staining foods (such as curry) on a regular basis, your teeth will discolour more quickly.
It is important to make sure that you have had your teeth cleaned prior to bleaching (or top up) as any plaque or calculus on the teeth surface will prevent the tooth beneath it from bleaching.
It is also important to note that existing fillings and crown and bridgework will not change colour.
